Dove Canoe

After discussions with the water bailiff/organisers we regret to announce that the @derbyshirescout Dove Canoe Race will not be going ahead today. The water level is extremely low so the risk of paddlers getting into difficulty or damage to canoes/kayaks is greatly increased.

2/2 Therefore this year there will not be a race but young people can canoe on the day as long as they are accompanied by an adult with the correct canoeing/kayaking permit. If you have any queries please contact Dot Asquith?(dottydot@ntlworld.com)

1/2 - We have been advised by the @derbyshirescout Water Activities Team that anyone under the age of 18 must have a personal permit if they wish to enter the Dove Canoe Race this year. As far as we are aware there are no young people in Derbyshire who hold a personal permit.
