@ChrisK_Banded I wonder if sometimes the same stuff happens on some on farm research that is published in books as well for different company’s for various products and attachments

Just had a conversation this morning with a fella driving back from Commodity Classic. He mentioned a few companies he was surprised to see, and a few he did not see this year. But one comment made me chuckle to myself: "They must be doing pretty good this year" said in regards to a particular group/company he saw there. In case you don't know, groups, products, companies, and most speakers pay DEARLY to be there. Educational sessions and main stage sessions are not selected based on value, importance, or track record, the people presenting PAID to do it, with very few exceptions (politicians, some university presenters, etc). This isn't necessarily a bad thing and it can still be a great time with valuable takeaways, but every banner, post wrap, meeting/session, lunch, break, tour, dinner is sponsored and paid for by someone. Even the clings on the mirrors in the bathroom. Don't confuse earned clout with bought clout at these events. The link below is the 2026 Sponsorship book for this year's Classic. If you didn't already realize this was how it works, it can be eye-opening. commodityclassic.com/file/1234/2026…

@agrimodis Herman was local to me. Those fields sold a few years ago. Would have loved to be able to farm them.

Just a reminder to those waiting to buy their planter parts. We run the best pricing all year long on parts. If there is a program or extra discount, yeah we will advertise it and pass it along. There is not an extra 10% to take off for one week of the year. We don't mark everything up an extra for the year to offer and off set an extra 10% off a couple weeks a year. That is not how New Ag Supply works or will work. No gimmicks.

@PetersenFarms @ndrockfarmer Basically. Margin for error in trying something new. Who has the cash to go buy strip till equip that’ll cover the acres or has the guts to go no till when you have no idea if it’ll be a disaster?

@gavin_spoor Then I have an older 4630 Deere to mow with. They are cheep. And still work great. And that can run your auger as well

@gavin_spoor When I was looking into some different tractors. For some cheep hp. I really like my challengers I have 2 of them now and bought them for the price of one front wheel assist Deere. For 300 plus hp tractors they are great to plant, do tillage, run grain cart, pull a sprayer.

If you could only have one, which are you choosing? Duties - 8 or 12 row corn planter, grain auger, bat wing mower, 8 ton dry fertilizer spreader.

@MaxROIFarmer But like I said Iv never used it so I’m not sure. I just spray a little with chemcials and then y drop the rest at v6. I shoot for a .7 use rate. Depends on year sometimes so who knows how much n do we truly need lol!

@dparkfarms What makes you think you can get away with less as liquid?

@MaxROIFarmer I guess maybe I should have worded that different, I guess guys that run nh3 around me shoot for a little higher just to compensate if they have any losses in fall so they may go for 200lbs per say but they apply 220 for insurance and I only do 200. And we both have same outcome

@MaxROIFarmer Understandable! I’m sure it’s better price if you have your own bar. If you have it custom applied in the end it always seems like a wash. Becuase I can use a little less with liquid to offset and still come out the same Iv seen.

@dparkfarms Use both but it’s the cheapest option and generally we run a low rate to mitigate some of the issues

Looking into updating rippers. What’s the best to buy? And anyone have any for sale? Thinking about a 875, I really like the max chisels but haven’t found a used one yet so others must like them too

@dparkfarms @farmerschneck Well that would be a narrow body not a wide body along with hp difference. Probably more like 3-4mph in green stems? But I have no experience with that. We had a 7400 keeping up with a s780 in good wheat.

@dparkfarms @farmerschneck We haven’t grown beans for a while but it did well in them. This was in green stem beans. 4-5mph depending on the spot in the field. No loss and good sample. You do have to be careful not to crack them.

@farmerschneck What do you think would be a good size class for a smaller farmer. Is the trion any good? Or like a 7500? I run 8 row head and 35 ft draper currently

@dparkfarms Yea that's bs from deere guys that think the s series design is good. The 500 and even 700 series struggled in green stem beans if stock. Sunnybrook impeller fixes that. The 7000 and 8000 machines are just monsters. As is the x9 design.
