@smkypodcast @BBCLondonNews @HeathrowAirport May take a while. In the past two days, my suitcase travelled 200m from Terminal 2 to Terminal 2B. At that speed, it still needs more than 131 years to arrive at its destination (Hong Kong). And my celebrity suitcase has a busy schedule, but I think I can squeeze in an autograph.

@dplatt_maths @BBCLondonNews @HeathrowAirport Same, I’ve yet to receive mine in Rome. I keep calling the airline and checking and all they say is “we’re looking for it.” Unacceptable in 2022 for this to happen.

I participated in the lovely Analysis Festival on Special Holonomy! A lecture by me about G2-instantons here: youtube.com/watch?v=X7od1h…. It starts with an introduction accessible for all differential geometry students and ends with a specific construction method for instantons.

Some beautiful work in progress on the intersection of machine learning and geometry: bit.ly/2VsA0Rd. "Group Invariant Machine Learning through Near-Isometries" gives methods for group invariant ML using any model you like (neural network, random forest or else)!

londonmaths.org is offering maths enrichment for year 10 to 13 students every Wednesday, 5 pm to 7 pm UK time, via Zoom. I'm helping with the first course and it's great stuff as always! 🧮 It's free and students can be registered by their guardian on the website!

Today my first preprint appeared online: "Existence of torsion-free G2-structures on resolutions of G2-orbifolds using weighted Hölder norms" (arxiv.org/abs/2011.00482). A lot of beautiful analysis and even some pictures inside!

Finished my AI internship at @ArabesqueAM last month month. One of the things I learned: it was known that word embeddings have good arithmetic properties, but sentence embeddings have even richer geometry. Example: active+passive sentences (roughly) differ by the same vector.
