@NatanMeir @vijisathy @DrMrsKellyHogan I think this can be an effective way to encourage students to visit for the first time, but I would want to be intentional about the "required" piece. I would favor providing them scheduled appointments for 5-minute chats, but it's up to them if they come!

@drTimothyW @vijisathy @DrMrsKellyHogan This is fantastic. What do you think about requiring students to come to office hours, even just for a 5-minute chat? It gives them a certain number of points towards their grade and ensures that I get to know everyone in the class.

@El_GioRamos @NIH_LRP Definitely worth applying! The application is fairly straightforward. I’m happy to share my application/materials and chat about my experience. I was fortunate to receive an initial LRP and a competitive renewal.

Would any psych folk be willing to share their experience with @NIH_LRP? I barely qualify based on the ratio of total debt vs. current salary. Is it worth the shot? How time-consuming is this application? What are the odds of actually receiving the award? Thanks so much🙏🏾

It's wild that I defended my diss in December, and I'm still waiting to file it because of weird timing requirements with internship. Even better, my program forces me wait until I lose student status, makes me pay ~$200 to re-gain "filing eligibility," and then I can do it. Why?
