@andrew_parsons was describing a pt leaving without being discharged (LWBD). This is a different situation from AMA. #jhmchat

@laxswamy has a good point about patients leaving to feed the cat. One study showed that pet care was 9% of the AMA reasons. Sad :( #jhmchat
