Our only defense is to invest in fast growing things. And, take more risk with our money. OR option 2) cut back on everything. **** See, inflation is a very easy data point to manipulate. Government simply changes the basket of "how inflation is measured". And, the output changes. Your school fee, healthcare, rent all keeps going up. But, magically inflation only moves 2%. You end up thinking: hmm, maybe I am doing something wrong. No you're not. Except for the fact-- that you can't dare to think that government can lie to your face so blatantly. And, get away with it. Since they can: they keep lying. And, the magnitude of the lie keeps growing bigger.
