Having a doctor in your circle you can trust is becoming such a big advantage. Recently I met a relative who was diagnosed with a critical medical condition. Doctor in Big Hospital A, asked him to get admitted to ICU for an urgent surgery. Cost ~15 Lakhs. For some reason, this person (quite well off and had enough health insurance too) refused to be admitted and took discharge against doctor advice and left. Met another doctor in Big Hospital B through a doctor friend. This doctor looked at the reports and recommended only medication, and follow up after a month. That's it. No surgery. It's been a year plus since, and there is no issue. All is well. This is not just one case. I have one more case, where some doctors, particular hospitals recommended a major treatment, and it was cured with a simpler treatment in another hospital at a fraction of the cost. Given so many stories, doctors reportedly having targets, plus PEs taking over hospitals, validating charges, major treatments could save one from an unnecessary surgery and huge costs. This can also be a startup - it validates, gatekeeps surgeries, treatments independently for a fee without any vested interest.

Most men are gay. They're literally gay. Because they don't really like us women. Our natural bodies, they think it's gross. Our interests, they think it's cringe. Spending time with us, they think it's like a responsibility. And if a guy has a girlfriend, and instead of date night with her, he genuinely wants to be with the boys, and he feels it's a punishment that he can't spend time with his boys, he doesn't really like her. So I genuinely think most men are gay but they haven't figured it out because being gay is like also too feminine for them and they don't like feminine things.

In case you were wondering if we’ve truly gone cashless — just saw a beggar at BTM signal with a QR code hanging around his neck. #PeakBengaluru

Maybe we feel so much for Punch, the monkey, because we see a bit of ourselves in him- forsaken, bullied and sometimes all alone in this big world. His story reminds us how deeply kindness matters.

@peacehipeace Wherever it is necessary immediately, it will be done. Pretty sure no responsible PG will wait for an intern or not cross- check the intern's BP recordings if patient is in severe hypotension/ hypertension.

Some PGs will wait till eternity but won't check BP of the patient until the intern comes to OPD or ward 🤡

@dr_vee95 Hey I keep thinking about this. This is a great thought. Where do you think the problem arise? Do we know the cause of the problem?

Back in the day, my feed used to be full of people dismissing #Valentine’s Day. Now, it’s filled with heartfelt posts celebrating their partners. Funny how, once you move past the dating phase and find something real and steady, the cynicism quietly fades away.

Several years ago, I saw my father battle for his life in the ICU as I prepared for NEET-UG outside. Today, I go back to the very same ICU to train as an intensivist. Life surely comes a full circle. NEET-SS AIR 159 :)

The ongoing #IndiGo crisis reminds us how essential it is to protect the wellbeing of pilots and crew — and rightly so. But it also raises a question we’ve been avoiding for too long: when will doctors get safer working hours too?

Would like to bring your attention to the plight of Karnataka medical residents who cleared MD exams 1.5 months ago, yet the government is withholding permanent degree certificates and all original documents without any clarity on rural bond service. No timelines—careers stalled.
