I felt so happy to be in a room full of strong, amazing women! Today at the Latina Leadership Institute (LLI) Cohort 9 Class Day, we focused on discovering their "why" and building their personal brands. I was absolutely thrilled to speak and support these fantastic women.

It was a truly enriching experience to speak at the 2024 Summer Institute Local Government Panel at the @OblateSchool of Theology. Our discussion, centered on the importance of serving with compassion was a testament to the power of community engagement.

Congratulations to the inaugural class of the Flamingo Club! This group comprises 34 young golfers from the Greater San Antonio area, ages 5-12. At today's award ceremony, the kids were joyful as they received a brand new set of golf clubs and a membership to local golf courses.

Yesterday, the District 4 team and I took a tour of the country's latest and most advanced recycling facility in District 4! I am so excited for students who will be able to tour @BalconesRecycle’s amazing new facility and learn more about the importance of recycling!

This morning's discussion on people experiencing homelessness was enlightening. It was moving to hear about experiences people have endured and the courage it takes to be vulnerable. This conversation shed light on the challenges faced by unsheltered residents.

The World Mission Society Church of God in San Antonio hosted a Street Clean-Up on Ray Ellison Blvd today! I'm incredibly grateful for their service to our community and for letting me join them in cleaning up the area.

It was truly exciting to have the @leagueofcities make a stop at San Antonio City Hall for NLC’s Centennial Roadshow: 100 Years, 100 Cities. I'm so thrilled to be a part of NLC's Board of Directors and to serve as the Chair of the Human Development Committee.

I am thrilled that we've officially broken ground on San Antonio's newest manufacturing employer, @JCBna JCB's investment is expected to have an economic impact of $30 billion over the next ten years. The best part is that JCB plans to hire 1,500 San Antonio resident!

Have you heard about the new Indian restaurant in District 4? Tarka Indian Kitchen recently opened, and let me tell you, it's definitely worth a visit! The food made by Chef Peter Perez was absolutely delicious and bursting with flavor!

Today’s Fallen Officer Memorial Ceremony was beautiful. It is always such a powerful reminder of the bravery of our officers each day. The families and friends they leave behind will always be a special part of our extended family.

I was honored to read the proclamation designating September Workforce Development Month at today's Datapoint Career Center Open House. I know how critical workforce training opportunities are for residents, and I am optimistic about the city’s investment in it's residents.
