This just makes me really sad. How do we stop this type of thing from happening?
Parents. Please. Think about your kids. They are watching everything you do and say.
This guy should never be allowed on a field again let alone coaching young athletes.
@AdamTornhill In some ways it generates code that is against everything code should be: Simple and consistent.
But I would miss it if it were to go away.
After 30+ years as a programmer, all my code is now written by agents. And I love it. But there’s a flip side:
Software development is definitely more mentally effortful with agents.
Anyone else feeling that?
Yesterday, my six-year-old son had his first Little League game of the year.
I absolutely kid you not when I say I think at least a third of the parents on the team truly believe their son will one day make the major leagues.
So last week I bought a service contract for my AC unit in Vegas with a major company. My AC was working great but I figured a maintenance/ tune up couldn’t hurt since AC is so necessary in Vegas. Before the guy showed up today the AC was spitting ice cubes. Working great! After he was done AC not working and compressor not going on. Absolutely insane. I will reserve revealing this companies name until I see how they resolve this. But it’s already been a massive pain in the ass. I’m pretty much now of the school of thought that I’m not servicing anything anymore until it needs it!
