What we know so far about Hudson's upcoming short film Yoko Loko ✨️ 1- Hudson wrote, directed, and produced the film. 2- The short film will star Mamie Kakimoto and Hudson Williams, and will include some of Hudson's frequent collaborators like Trishtan C. Pina (as producer) and Zack Fonzovs 3- Yoko (played by Mamie Kakimoto) is a middle aged woman who's a drug dealer, and has a polarity to her, on certain days she wants to be seen as a tough gangster, and on other days she wants to wear dresses and pearls her vice is romancing younger men, which is what helps her feel youthful still 4- Hudson's character is someone who has a radical acceptance of her, and is by her side no matter what she wants to do or be, yet she cannot help but resort to her sabotaging ways. 5- Yoko is described as crazy, aggressive, obsessed with being young, but purely and madly in love 6- Hudson called the short film his most ambitious short on multiple occasions, and described it as "garish" and "visually offensive" 7- In his interview with permanent rain press, which was in late November, Hudson revealed the short film was still in the editing stage, and that will be a long editing process, However he recently pinned his post about the short to his main Instagram feed, we are hoping to hear news about it soon👀 (photos via mamiekakimoto and hudsonwilliamsoffical)
