Dragon Quest 1+2 HD-2D Remake is overall great, but DQ 1 will kill you (a lot). Still, there's some great surprises along the way, and DQ2 really shines. You can read my full review for @screenrant here: screenrant.com/dragon-quest-1…

@mortonbelmont0 @screenrant Just depends which difficulty setting you prefer playing on. It doesn't affect trophies or anything from what I can tell.

@Firaga555 @screenrant It makes it harder for sure, and I definitely grinded more than in most versions of DQ1, but autosave and extra spells/abilities help a lot.

I dropped it into Dracky Quest in one dungeon (can't remember which) because between encounter rate and the multiple turns, I was eating through items and MP too fast. Most of the time, I would just use autosave to do the fight instantly again. No church for me lol

@dragonquaustin @screenrant Okay good, so it wasn't just me that had to lower the heat in DQ1 at a couple points.

@vsancards @screenrant Having Magic Armor and some of the other new equipment and spells to this version of DQ1 is helpful for sure, but didn't balance out all the time.

@dragonquaustin @screenrant I remember dying alot in the original ... 😸 Then I farmed golems to get the Magic Armor.

@mortonbelmont0 @screenrant Only if you set it into Dracky Mode and then you can toggle Invincibility on or off. I normal Dragon Quest mode, stuff 100% kills you
