ON THE MOVE! Earlier today, Wednesday, December 11, Draken departed Jørpeland, Norway, for a short journey further north to Kopervik. ETA Kopervik ~14:00 CET. Draken will be in Kopervik servicing the engines and technical systems. While Draken is well-situated in Jørpeland, the proximity to our suppliers and storage facilities in Kopervik makes it the most efficient location for this type of maintenance.

Update Regarding Viking Voyage Accident in Norwegian Waters We are deeply saddened to learn that one of the crew members involved in the recent Viking voyage accident in Norwegian waters has tragically lost their life. Our heartfelt condolences go out to their family, friends, and fellow crew members during this incredibly difficult time. While media reports have referred to a Viking ship, we want to clarify that the boat involved in the accident was a traditional Faroese seksæring, on a Viking voyage expedition from the Faroe Islands to Norway. We extend our deepest sympathies to all those affected by this tragedy.

Statement Regarding Recent Viking Ship Incident in Norwegian Waters We are aware of reports in Scandinavian media about a rescue operation currently underway in Norwegian waters involving a capsized Viking ship with six people on board. We want to assure our community that this incident does not involve the Draken. The Draken is safely docked in Jørpeland, Norway. Our thoughts are with those affected by this unfortunate incident. We extend our deepest concerns to the crew and their families, and we sincerely hope for their safe recovery and the preservation of their vessel.
