Great to see Jen launch their AI music product, trained on music they’ve licensed. The future of generative AI has to be based on licensing - without this, it’s nothing more than IP theft. It’s important to support the good actors in this space. As Jen say - don’t steal music.

@AGMweb3 The boundary between human vs ai artist will be vague in future imo as art is what it is. But there will be more artists who contributes to ai get rewarded and also more human artists will use ai as tool for creation or just for inspirations.

The key is that the creators of the licensed works should be appreciated and rewarded, as generative AI always requires the scale.

The AI Equivalence Fallacy: the argument that humans learn from copyrighted work without permission, so generative AI should be allowed to too. It's a rare day when I don't hear this argument. It was always clear this is what they were doing. Proud to say @jenmusicai has only ever been trained on content specifically licensed for AI training by the owners. It's harder it takes more time but its the right thing to do.

I analyzed a bunch of Suno's output, and found it generates music that closely resembles well-known, copyrighted music: melodies, chord progressions, lyrics, instrumental parts, and styles.
