Chrome uses ANGLE and EGL which needs direct display control. AMD owns my display, so Nvidia can't take over. Crash. Firefox uses OpenGL. Nvidia renders, AMD displays. Simple handoff. Works. Blame Chrome's architecture and Nvidia's EGL.

Chrome WebGL is broken with Nvidia PRIME offload on Linux due to an ANGLE bug, but Firefox works fine… anyone found a fix or is Firefox the only option for WebGL games on hybrid GPU laptops?

@mehulmpt One wonderful thing about consciousness is nothing we build can contain that but everything around us have it. It's like the infinity within the finite, and the finite within infinity… ∞ ⊂ 1 and 1 ⊂ ∞

@mehulmpt We won't. LLMs just mimic the patterns… weights, predictions, a shadow of the real thing. Consciousness isn't computation, it's possibly as vast and infinite as the universe itself. Nothing we build can contain that. And if you really want to create it efficiently? Have a baby.

I wonder if humanity will be able to understand consciousness in my lifetime. It would be cool to not die.

If you see a post like this, don't click to share your family. This is a SCAM. The app used permission I've given to follow crypto accounts on my behalf. Thanks to @draphyofficial for warning me about it.

Google fixed my privacy issue in days. Brave has been giving me the runaround for over a month. The ad company out-privacied the privacy company. Been emailing their privacy team since Feb. Still going in circles.

@jcubic There's another one you can fit in your pocket and use the screen as the keyboard too. I'm traversing a realm where everything is feasible.

Do you know that you can buy a PC that you can take with you when you travel? 😲 It has a monitor attached to the keyboard that also includes something like a mouse that you control by touching with your fingers. Crazy times.

If your project doesn't scale past n₀, you're not building tech. You're just doing homework. T(n) ≤ c·f(n), for all n ≥ n₀ small input? Anything works. The real game starts past n₀, that's where your complexity either saves you or kills you.

The day OpenAI or Anthropic fires their whole damn team - engineers, sales, all of it. THEN I'll take their AGI, 50% job loss crap seriously and will sh*t on my pants for sure. Right now? Their open roles scream tech debt panic and a profit problem they can't hide. 💀

@draphyofficial A month is too long for a privacy request. Nightly handles tester feedback, so this one's outside our lane, but @BraveSupport is the right team. DM them with the details and they'll take it from there.

Brave Origin is now in Nightly - targeting 1.91.x for release. Origin is a minimalist Brave that keeps Shields and the full privacy stack - but removes Rewards, VPN, Wallet, News, Leo AI, and other revenue features. Available as a standalone build or as an upgrade panel inside regular Brave. $59.99 one time, 10 activations, free on Linux. The reason this exists is worth explaining. Brave has always been free because optional revenue features funded the work. Some users never wanted those features in the first place and asked for a way to support Brave's engineering and privacy research directly. Origin is that option. It doesn't change anything for people who use Brave the way they always have. Regular Brave stays free, keeps getting new features, and users can still disable anything they don't want. What Origin does is make the choice explicit and give a second funding path to the team doing the work. That's the whole idea. If you run Nightly, please put Origin through its paces and file anything odd before it hits stable.
Brave Nightly@BraveNightly

When Brave users told us they'd pay for a minimalist version of our browser, we listened. Brave Origin, now in Nightly, is a paid version of our browser for users who don't need all of Brave’s features but still want its leading privacy and ad blocker: account.brave.com/?intent=checko…
