We are only scratching the surface of AI and #MedEd - if you give an exam question, expect students to ask @ChatGPTapp for the answer but use that as a D grade answer - encourage students to review, refine, question and improve what was generated for a better grade. #DEMEC23

@JonnyGucks Long been concerned about the gatekeeping of work at higher grades being dependent on exams - now paediatric trainees can work at middle grade without Membership exam by displaying capabilities means the purpose of it is questionable (in my view) #DEMEC23

Interesting that these AI programmes were able to pass medical exams, and yet that knowledge is not enough to work in medicine (indeed doctors ignore AI outputs in studies ...) *Meaning* is important. But also: what does this mean re: what our exams are testing? #DEMEC23
