We’ve begun Literature Circles!! After reading their books for the first time the kids insisted they had a chance to talk about the books so far! Music to a book nerd’s ears!

We celebrated the Grade 6's on Friday with an outdoor gathering and lots of play time! Conveniently, for the kids, the underground sprinklers came on during the last 10 minutes and there was so much joy!

Using Mathagon to play with tangrams and marking coordinates on a Cartesian plane.

There were some different things to look at on our morning walk through the trees. Remnants of a fire (one side of the path vs the other) as well as piles of pollen from the poplar trees. It felt like a different place than a week ago. @cbedrb

Yesterday we had our final grade community assemblies outside in the sunshine! Kindergarten shared their understanding of Honesty (Raven/Sabe) and the 6's shared about Truth from the Turtle. Here is the art we created for our school community! @cbedrb

Our weekly walk through the ravine along with our weekly sit spot where we have begun to create phenology wheels to track changes as spring approaches! @cbedrb

The grade 6's created their own anchor charts to explain how to convert mixed/improper fractions as well as add and subtract mixed fractions with unlike denominators. @cbedrb

Busy day today! A few leaders helped the Grade 1's celebrate the 100th day of school, we taught our Grade 3 buddies some songs we learned at camp, and then we had a school wide assembly to share the traditional hoop dancing we learned from Jackie Wabasca a few weeks ago! @cbedrb

Last week was Bell Let's Talk Day and the 6's wrote some positive messages for anyone that needs to read them! @cbedrb
