UPDATE: Westbound State Route 58 is now open with CHP escort starting at State Route 202 (Tucker Road). Eastbound SR 58 remains closed between Towerline and Exit 165.

ATTN DRIVERS: Due to multiple vehicle spinouts and jackknifed big rigs, @Caltrans9 and CHP have closed State Route 58 from Towerline Rd east of Bakersfield to Exit 165 north of Mojave. Caltrans crews are working through the night to get the highway cleared and reopened.
