Sometimes all I can do is throw my hands up and say, I give up… my 4th… 4th External Hard Drive Failure (my backup & backup to my backups) 20TB @WesternDigital Hard Drives have failed, and wiped without any warning. (Edit: The 4 Failed Drives are technically 2 Western Digital HDD Drives then the other 2 were Samsung Solid State Rugged 4TB drives) The latest one has owned for 2months. I have owned WD External Drives for the last 16 years (even my original is still in operation today) and not a single issue until this year. For the second time this year my 2026 video archives have been lost (with recovery software I already own). Along with two SanDisk Extreme Pro cards going corrupt this season as well…

July 12, 2023 was a bit over an overlooked day in northern Illinois. An MCV moved across extreme northern IL along a stout warm front where SRH values exceeded 400. The SPC opened the day with Chicago in no risk, and finish the day with the area being in a 10 hatched tornado risk. I managed to see three tornadoes including a 🌈 rainbow in between twins as the storms entered the wooded Chicago suburbs. There was zero lightning and thunder observed this entire day. Two velocity pixels is all you need for a show. Trees can be problematic, as they certainly were on this day. "Thelightninghunter" on YouTube got this of me on the hood of the CRV.

@CPalermo_Storms Yes because I drove 11 hours overnight from OKC for it, and it was within 3 miles of my house in a 0% all hazards and it put me on The Today Show lol
