Over 37 million people will go to the emergency room this year just from slipping, tripping, or getting hit by random everyday objects.
Countries with the most everyday freak accidents:
1. 🇳🇿 New Zealand: 31 in every 1,000 people, the government pays for all accident care, so everyone reports it
2. 🇨🇿 Czechia: 28 in every 1,000 people
3. 🇦🇹 Austria: 27 in every 1,000 people
4. 🇫🇮 Finland: 24 in every 1,000 people, heavily driven by slipping on winter ice
5. 🇩🇪 Germany: 22 in every 1,000 people
6. 🇺🇸 USA: 19 in every 1,000 people, where a random slip can easily lead to medical debt
7. 🇨🇦 Canada: 17 in every 1,000 people
8. 🇫🇷 France: 16 in every 1,000 people
9. 🇸🇪 Sweden: 16 in every 1,000 people
10. 🇬🇧 UK: 14 in every 1,000 people
11. 🇦🇺 Australia: 14 in every 1,000 people
12. 🇮🇹 Italy: 12 in every 1,000 people
13. 🇯🇵 Japan: 9 in every 1,000 people, surprisingly low despite a heavily aging population
14. 🇰🇷 South Korea: 8 in every 1,000 people
15. Mexico: 4 in every 1,000 people, mostly because minor injuries are treated at home to avoid hospital bills

In 14 of these 15 countries, a random freak accident just hurts your pride.
The US is the only place where a split second of bad luck can cost you your life savings.
They treat bad luck as a personal financial failure.

@drexthealpha @DudespostingWs Billions of trees are cut down every year in the US alone. 15 million is nothing.
Shut up.
