@naomicfisher @DavidAAldridge @TWPerry1 Knowledge can be both a barrier and a conductor. E.g. this from Sternberg, R. J. (2019). Enhancing people’s creativity. The Cambridge handbook of creativity, 88-103.

@dylanwiliam @mathillustrated Will have to archive this tweet, and then use Harvard referencing conventions to be able to cite it in future! According to google scholar "Your search - "In education, everything is of limited usefulness" - did not match any articles", so tweet-citing it will be!

A list of practices that educators in America know about but understand to be of limited usefulness.
Vince Boley@VinceBoley
A list of evidence based peragogy that I'd wager 90% of educators in America don't know but should: 🍎 John Sweller’s Cognitive Load Theory 🍎 Barak Rosenshine’s Principles of Instruction 🍎 Retrieval practice and interleaving 🍎 Explicit instruction 🍎 Frequent opportunities to respond 🍎 Cold calling Why don't American teacher prep colleges teach these things?
