Just last year, California completed four wildlife crossings with an average price tag of $16 million – and 37 more are in progress across the state at an average cost of $15 million.
The Annenberg Wildlife Crossing is the most ambitious project of its kind in the world with a much larger scale – it does not represent the average cost of our work to build more wildlife connectivity.

Colorado built this wildlife overpass last year for $15 million. It’ll pay for itself within five years from the avoided collisions. California spending $114 million on a failed wildlife overpass is absurd.

Because of the 15th St bike lane, you can ride from Meridian Hill Park to the White House, from the Washington Monument to the Tidal Basin and all the way to Mount Vernon. It’s simply the best urban bike facility in the country and removing any part of it is a travesty

The 15th Street Protected Bike Lane south of Constitution Ave is slated to be removed on Monday, per 2 sources Reportedly DDOT did not raise strong objections to it and has further not objected to using the Hains Point bike lanes for car traffic during the cherry blossoms

I agree with Fetterman here. A lot of people in the comments point out that mail-in ballots don't require photo ID. But that misses how the system already works.
In most states, you provide a driver's license number or last 4 of your SSN when registering. Under HAVA, first-time voters who register by mail must verify identity (ID or docs like a utility bill), whether they vote in person or by mail.
The idea that mail-in voting is a widespread fraud vector just isn't supported by evidence.
As a personal example... In Virginia, my dad requested an absentee ballot but later went to vote in person instead. He was immediately flagged, had to bring the ballot back, and election officials verified & destroyed it before allowing him to vote.
That's what the system looks like in practice. This simply isn't the crisis it's made out to be

83% of Americans agree on voter ID. 71% of Democrats agree on voter ID. Keep it basic: PHOTO ID to vote. Stop turning this into a Christmas list and attacking vote-by-mail. If GOP wants real reform over a show vote––put out a clean, standalone bill and I’m AYE.
