Women will participate in research when given the chance! 94% of female athletes in our lab said they would join future studies and rated their experience positively (77/100). The main barrier to prior participation was a perceived lack of opportunity. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/40335164/#:~:t….

People often ask me how much I eat when I ride. Every body is different and it depends on your goals, but here is what works for me 👇 Recovery (≤ 2 hrs): 40g/hr
Endurance (3 hrs): 60g/hr
Long Endurance (4–5 hrs): 75g/hr
Intervals: 75–80g/hr
Big days: 80–100g/hr

I’m creating a database of ‘Red Leaders’ who are experienced in managing RED-S. The aim is to make it easy for health professionals to find someone to refer to when RED-S is suspected. Please reply with your details if you’d like to be added and tag others who you’d recommend 🙏

Do you think knowledge of nutrition guidelines is associated to optimal practice? Think again. Our latest research on nutritional knowledge of carbohydrate guidelines and nutritional practices @EurJSportSci is surprising and suggests otherwise (onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/ej…) A 🧵
