@drglasnerphd @MauriceBenard I don't say this very often when now I just lost my godson last month to suicide 1 one of many I know I'm also a suicide survivor. I still struggle with the thoughts of course my support team is fully aware and I have someone in my life for support.

@MauriceBenard Bipolar disorder carries one of the highest rates of suicide (15-20% globally) compared to other mental health difficulties. It's so important for individuals with this condition to stay in treatment and for those who care about someone living with it to support them.

yes, we need to keep discussing it
Marsali@Marsali23

Bipolar disorder needs to be discussed much more. @MauriceBenard with his @mbstateofmind podcast does his best to talk to people about their struggles. Maurice has struggled with his own bipolar journey. I know it’s not easy for him but the work he does is important. Everyone should read Maurice’s book- Nothing General About It. It’s a great insight into the life of someone who suffers and struggles with bipolar disorder. He holds nothing back. It’s an honest look at his life. I’m so sorry Robert struggled so. My heart goes out to his family and friends who probably were the ones to help him through these last 20 years. I hope Robert found the peace he sought in his lifetime. 🙏🏻

Thank you, @drglasnerphd ❤️‍🩹 aiming to be of transparent service best I can for just this reason, tbh. So grateful for 20 years of rigorous 12 step work & grateful too for the opportunity to feel supported by the community as I work hard to stay diligent and honest. Shout out to all of us out there who are moving thru life best we can. Never too late to restart the day and get back on the beam. Nothing to be ashamed of.
