I got to know that Cyber attacks don’t happen by accident, they follow a process. Understanding the Cyber Kill Chain helps defenders detect threats early, respond faster, and break the attack before damage is done. Know the chain. Break the chain. #CyberKillChain #SOCAnalyst

Closed my first ever Security alert and wrote my first incident report today. The frequency at which these alerts come in really opened my eyes to the level of threats companies face daily and why cybersecurity is more important than ever.

My First Alert Reporting. It was my first time reporting an alert in a SOC environment using the 5 Ws approach, not gonna lie it feels so new and I had to pause and question everything I know about CyberSecurity lol. The 5 Ws approach; Who What Where When Why Amazing

what a soc analyst’s day actually looks like: → 3 hours of false positives → 1 hour of “is this benign or weird” → 2 hours of documentation nobody reads → 1 hour of “wait, what’s that” that last hour is the job. still want in? good. #soc #cybersecurity
