If I never hear the name Hattie again, it’ll be too soon. I’ve never seen so many administrators and board members use outdated, one-dimensional, and incomplete ‘research’ as an excuse to stuff classrooms. Do we seriously need ‘research’ to tell us large class sizes are horrible for kids (especially kids that struggle)?

@DrKnicki My old district required each set of lesson plans to be a minimum of six pages for each lesson. My current admin just wants a short summary. It’s now just half a page if that.

Loved sharing with my students how one district required two typed pages daily (elem) and when I left the classroom it was a small typed box for each prep period. #studentteaching #teaching #teachertwitter
