Mental health & physical health are often treated as distinct entities. The reality is that mental health & physical health are deeply & intimately interconnected & intertwined. When one deteriorates, the other often follows suit. Likewise when one improves so too does the other.

The specification has also been published along with updated PT waiting times reporting guidance from Public Health Scotland. This package of PT publications, and the core standards, aims to improve the quality and quantity of psychological treatments offered across Scotland.
