If you feel the wind shifting, I feel it too. This entire situation has been a shock to navigate, but I’m solid—because I know who I am.
No amount of noise or pressure changes the fact that I am a woman who works hard, tells the truth, and takes care of people. And when you stand firm in that, even when the wind is blowing hard, you don’t waver.
Lately, I’ve been thinking about what keeps me going. My patients, this work, and doing the right thing. And I keep coming back to something my grandfather used to say when we needed rain in Georgia:
🌧️ “Rain down, Little David—big drops, close together.”
And right now? That rain is falling exactly where we need it. The support has been overwhelming. My team has grown, I have an incredible legal team behind me, and @BillAckman has even generously stepped in to help cover legal expenses.
I never could have imagined asking for this help—but here it is. So let’s take it and turn it into real change in healthcare.
For now, I’m off to the operating room—because at the end of the day, I’m still here, doing what I love, taking care of my patients, and fighting for something bigger.
Thanks for being here with me 💙

It’s 2025, and navigating insurance has only gotten worse...
Today I performed four breast reconstruction surgeries. During one, I was interrupted by a call from UnitedHealthcare—while my patient was already asleep on the operating table. They wanted information about her diagnosis and inpatient stay justification.
With another surgeon present, I scrubbed out mid-surgery to call United—out of fear they would deny her stay. But when I got on the line, the representative didn’t even have access to her full medical records—despite the procedure already being pre-approved.
This is beyond frustrating. Patients and providers deserve better than this. We should be focused on care, not bureaucracy.
I have no other words at this point.

@ggeiss_mlb @charliedraper_ Like David Ortiz, Manny Ramirez, and Kevin Millar.

@nut_history No doubt he was an amazing closer, but what people remember is how he sometimes blew leads like World Series 2001 game seven and 2004 Alcs game 4.

@TheCatchingGuy He deserved the Gold Glove, and if they picked the best catcher in the MLB instead of just the NL, he still would have won it.

🔥 Here’s 60 seconds of Gold Glove winner Patrick Bailey showing off his throwing and receiving skills! Enjoy!

@Jomboy_ Freeman was the obvious MVP of the series because he had an rbi in every game

@Jomboy_ I don’t blame Cole because without the Yankee errors that wouldn’t have scored a run. Also, go Dodgers .
English

@CodifyBaseball He is not only a great player, but he is also flexible and can play different positions. That is part of the reason he is one of the greats.

@prospectdugout Tell me that is a typo and catchers aren’t paid the least, while DHs are being paid over 3 times a catcher.

@nut_history Ted could have had better stats than Babe Ruth if he hadn’t missed those years
