@Ezy_Ryder As a resident of both cities I’d argue that Ox and Cam both need what the other is planning.

What I find fascinating here is that the some of the people opposed to the schemes in Oxford are looking at Cambridge proposed solution in envy, whilst here some of the people opposed to the STZ are looking at Oxford in envy.

@PeteOlusoga 2/2 we fail them by not requiring professional behaviours from them. ‘Employability’ is a key HE target but we fail to prepare them for that if we don’t demand more engagement or that people explain their non-engagement rather than just not turning up.

@jesstud #localgov needs a much stronger role on #childcare - currently seen as a provider of last resort, no planning control over where providers set up but battered regularly on sufficiency surveys when not enough places for parents. Would love to chat about this!
