شخصية العام التراثية في احتفالية #يوم_المخطوط_العربي

تُكرَّم في الاحتفال شخصيات ومؤسسات بارزة؛ الدكتور يحيى محمود بن جنيد (السعودية) شخصية العام للبحث التراثي، والمخبر الوطني للمخطوطات بالقيروان (تونس) مؤسسة العام للعمل التراثي بالوطن العربي، وكتاب «جامع فرائد الملاحة في جوامع فوائد الفلاحة» (العراق) كتاب العام التراثي بالوطن العربي.

بحضور ورعاية صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير تركي الفيصل، رئيس مجلس إدارة #مركز_الملك_فيصل، وبدعوة من صاحبة السمو الملكي الأميرة مها بنت محمد الفيصل، الأمين العام للمركز؛ يستضيف المركز بالتعاون مع معهد المخطوطات العربية، احتفال يوم المخطوط العربي في دورته الـ13 تحت شعار «المخطوط العربي: حياة أمة ورائد حضارة». يُشارك في الاحتفال معالي الدكتور محمد ولد أعمر، المدير العام للألكسو، إلى جانب شخصيات ومؤسسات ثقافية معنية بالتراث.

2024 physics laureate Geoffrey Hinton used a network developed by his co-laureate John Hopfield as the foundation for a new network: the Boltzmann machine. This can learn to recognise characteristic elements in a given type of data. The Boltzmann machine can be used to classify images or create new examples of the type of pattern on which it was trained. Hinton has built upon this work, helping initiate the current explosive development of machine learning. #NobelPrize

This year’s physics laureates’ breakthroughs stand on the foundations of physical science. They have showed a completely new way for us to use computers to aid and to guide us to tackle many of the challenges our society face. Thanks to their work humanity now has a new item in its toolbox, which we can choose to use for good purposes. Machine learning based on artificial neural networks is currently revolutionising science, engineering and daily life. The field is already on its way to enable breakthroughs toward building a sustainable society, such as identifying new functional materials. How deep learning by artificial neural networks will be used in the future depends on how we humans choose to use these incredibly potent tools, already present in many aspects of our lives. #NobelPrize
