Ganda ng Sisa!!!

In K-pop, we call it "de-stanning." In Filipino loveteams, we call it "dropping." But the reasons couldn't be more different. For the K-pop fan, a hiatus is usually a quiet exit. It’s about the "Quitting Sale," recouping the thousands of pesos spent on albums and photocards, and finally getting a full night's sleep without streaming goals. It’s a personal boundary—realizing the hobby has become a second job. But for the PH loveteam fan, going on hiatus is how fans reclaim their time. In the Philippines, fans don’t just leave; they voice out collective hurt. Whether it’s the fallout of a promising pair like Will and Bianca or the sinking of a long-time ship due to an unexpected "real-life" turn, a fandom going on hiatus is a message to management. They withdraw the one thing that keeps the industry alive—their labor and their loyalty. Many choose to shift their energy toward supporting just one artist rather than the duo. One is a departure from a brand; the other is a heartbreak over a betrayal. Either way, this coordinated silence is the loudest a fan will ever be. Have you ever supported a loveteam and left? What are your thoughts on this? (✍️ Mianne Cudal) #radarPH #WillCa #WillAshley #BiancaDeVera
