Alabama's new 6R-1D map which erased the seat of one Black House Democrat gets blocked by a federal court - 'intentional race-based discrimination.' storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.usco…
@GuernicaYoss@NTSB_Newsroom The federal law prohibiting audio release was passed by Congress after lobbying from pilot unions. Pilot from Delta 1141 in 1988 at DFW crashed after talking about inappropriate things in the cockpit. Audio was all over the press. Made them look bad.
@NTSB_Newsroom I'm always for transparency but I don't think hearing the last few moments of someone's life will lead to a better understanding of the events; the point of transparency.
People react in all sorts of ways when death is imminent and I don't want it to become shock content.
The NTSB is aware that advances in image recognition and computational methods have enabled individuals to reconstruct approximations of cockpit voice recorder audio from sound spectrum imagery released as part of NTSB investigations, including the ongoing investigation of the crash last year of UPS flight 2976 in Louisville, Kentucky.
The NTSB does not release cockpit audio recordings. Federal law prohibits such public release due to the highly sensitive nature of verbal communications inside the cockpit. The NTSB takes these privacy restrictions seriously.
The NTSB docket system is temporarily unavailable as we examine the scope of the issue and evaluate solutions. We hope to restore access to the docket system as soon as possible.

@NTSB_Newsroom I hope X, YouTube, Reddit and everyone else stand strong. It's not the NTSB's place to censor what the public was able to discern on its own. Just like you can't seize all of the public photo and video footage. We don't honor the pilots by shitting on the Constitution.

@RetroNewsNow I got pulled over by a cop while wearing a Walkman and driving. He told me I couldn't wear it because it was a safety hazard and I couldn't hear my driving surroundings! It was 1982! Time's have changed for the best! Better living through technology!!
@Ian_Croft_ Gulf coast beaches are the best for sure. Can’t go wrong with either Southwest Florida or the Panhandle. As someone who lived in both Miami and Orlando, Miami beaches suck, and Atlantic beaches up the coast are a better vibe but same poor quality.
@zmx8067 They already know who he is. He probably was encouraged not to wear it due to who knows what kind of intelligence gathering tech is embedded in that badge.
