@jloumiotis @AljuayliA Yah I’ve never needed to cannulate transapical. I routinely samurai and axilllary as number 2. Been curious about transatrial lv cannulation technique

@AljuayliA I have never cannulated trans-apically, although I’ve read about it and many people talk about it. I actually haven’t even seen it. If you have no time to cannulate, maybe femoral or the samurai technique is better. @drraycleemd

Direct Aortic Cannulation is a safe, reproducible, quick and reliable method of arterial cannulation in cases of #aorticdissection. I do have second thoughts though when there is a large pericardial effusion. What is your go to strategy? #aortaed, #aneurysm, #dissection, #surgery , #aorticsurgery
