Microsoft has killed its line of Surface Hub collaborative displays. I hear that the company has ended production on Surface Hub 3, and has scrapped any plans to build a Surface Hub 4 in the future. Surface Hub 3 is still in stock at commercial retailers, but once that stock depletes, that will be the end of it. Microsoft will continue to support the product until the end of 2030, but no more hardware is planned. But if history is anything to go by, this effort will be futile. @zacbowden says that Microsoft's previous versions of "bad" Windows releases have only been truly fixable in one way: Abandonment. Windows Vista and Windows 8 are prime examples, both fixed with subsequent releases, but never gaining the same level of notoriety that their predecessors had.
