If you make any New Year resolutions, let it be this one: get 1% better every day. Not louder. Not busier. Not chasing overnight transformation. Real growth is built in small, consistent improvements, showing up a little clearer, a little more focused, a little more intentional than yesterday. Over a year, that 1% compounds into something meaningful. In leadership. In relationships. In health. In business. Progress doesn’t need a dramatic reset. It needs commitment to the next right step. Here’s to building a year that actually lasts.

I shared this framework with my team today as we prepare for the year ahead. Before setting new goals, I take inventory. Not just of metrics or outcomes, but of habits, thinking, and patterns. I use a simple framework every year: START. KEEP. STOP. KEEP: What’s actually working? The habits and rhythms that brought life and momentum. STOP: What’s draining energy but still taking up space? Old patterns. Unnecessary pressure. Things we’ve outgrown but never released. (Pro tip: this list is usually the longest.) START: What habits will take you to the next level? Not someday habits. Not “when things slow down.” Habits you can start now. Growth doesn’t start with a new calendar. It starts in your mind. This week is a good time to slow down, get honest, and decide who you’re becoming next. What’s one thing you’re intentionally stopping as you head into the new year?
