Beyond SOS - the "Shiny Object Syndrome": The most effective #schoolsafety work is often the least visible. After tragedies, pressure pushes #schoolleaders toward highly visible #schoolsecurity measures. But real prevention happens through trained staff, #threatassessment, relationships, and early intervention. The goal isn’t the appearance of safety (#securitytheater). It’s prevention. It’s about people, behavior, supervision, support, and practical tools that work.
