Last night, I took our six year old to the EOD Memorial Ball. Someone gave him a coin, and he was super excited showing everyone…and then he accidentally dropped it…next to a table of General Officers. They all pulled out coins and threw them down. And then, they told him to keep their coins. But it gets better. Super excited, he shows off all his coins to one of my friends. And then a voice behind us says: “That’s a cool coin collection you got there. You should have one of mine.” And it’s the Acting Secretary of the Navy, @SECNAV. Pretty sure this kid now has more coins than me.

Star Trek in the Ocean was an interesting idea. After all it’s still not 100% explored. Something James Cameron would use in his brilliant movie The Abyss. The question. Did Seaquest do the idea justice for TV? I have mixed feelings. I never watched it like I did Trek.. just episodes here and there.

@Ford Been a Ford fan my whole life. From riding in my dad's 1971 and 1975 Pintos that I as a little kid named "Old Blue" and "The Green Light Car" to the Mercury Milan I drive now...all my best cars have been Fords or Mercurys!

@UcheMaryOkoli You CAN'T control it, at least not completely. I recall a former bishop of my diocese giving his priests a heads up about that because he once caught his own mind wandering during the Eucharistic Prayer. If it can happen to a bishop, it can happen to anybody!!

Catholics in the house, I have a question. So during Mass, my mind usually just wanders off. I get distracted very easily. And I feel guilty about it. How do I stop these distractions, please?? It is almost like I can't control it. Please help. 🙏
