You’re right. I was wrong there. But Spo still holds the decision to pull him in the 3rd. At the end of the day, good for Bam. He will have to defend that game the rest of his career, but his name is at least etched in stone. The real problem is defending the NBA product after. How many performances in the future will people point to and say “well Bam scored 83”. I liken it to women playing in the All-Star game a few years back. It’s a nice gesture, but you have real questions about the league if those women beat any players in those events. Unless the A+ stars come and undo Bam’s record, Bam’s performance generates more questions than praise for the NBA.
