On December 16, the @USDOT issued a final rule requiring that airlines meet higher standards for accommodating passengers with disabilities, especially those who utilize wheelchairs and scooters. The rule aligns with your Academy’s comments to the DOT in June which included support for improved handling of wheelchairs, safe and dignified assistance for passengers, and expanded use of on-board wheelchairs.
