Cutterbar loss on these blacks was cut by 90% with the airbar. Don’t think I’d tell anyone to run edibles without one now. Easily 100-200/acre more gets in the tank in tough conditions.

Finally picked up an air real for the flex head this year. Hoping to pull an extra 60-100lbs an acre on dry beans into the grain tank. What’s everyone else seeing?

If we see a lot more of that as the producers get back to the field nice quality might be able to move the price a little...

@D_D_Peterson Black beans are very forgiving. Unfortunately the market is saturated.

@drybeanworld Ish hopefully not widespread. I Just got blacks left but they seem forgiving.

@D_D_Peterson Kidney beans that are dry can swell up again when it rains and the seed coat loses its integrity for canning purposes. Pintos can discolor and navy beans can also get stained or have Earth tag affecting markets. Cranberry beans quality is usually affected first.

@DerekGinn32 Harvest is just getting started, there was some Frost in areas of North Dakota and Manitoba. I don't think it was cold enough to affect the dry beans a lot. Market Outlook will be directly hinged to demand. The lower the prices get the more the demand seems to increase.

Frost hit portions of the Nebraska panhandle. Not sure how it will affect our edible beans. While we are “fringe acres” a lot of the dryland corn crop was frozen. Interested to see how big our crop is. Basis is tough! What’s the pinto bean outlook in ND & #ontag @drybeanworld
