Iran has been under extensive USA sanctions for years, restricting its ability to sell oil freely, access banking systems, and participate in global markets. These sanctions directly impact ordinary people and limit economic recovery, this is documented fact.

After 1979, it rose to over 85_90%, and women now make up a majority of university students in Iran, so education clearly improved by the numbers after the revolution there.
