#openclaw with #docker mounts is a nightmare. Good luck out there. I am going back to a native install and giving up on the docker configuration

Most people outside of true systems engineers will never be able to use #Openclaw Curious to know if anyone has been able to use it 'out of the box' or hook even one messaging transport to it without literally wanting to pull your hair out. #frustrating

#software development has gotten only faster, not any better... 1) 1970s compilers allow bad code to be written faster than assembly and machine code 2) 1980s bulletin boards allow bad code to be copied 3) 1990s internet carries this tradition on 4) 2000s #stackoverflow allows bad programmers to search for bad code 5) 2010s intelisense senses bad programmers need fast bad code 6) 2020s LLMs train on billions of lines of bad code and now bad programmers and bad specification writers ask LLMs to write more bad code that now only LLMs can take care of. Imagine that.... You get a 'plant down call' in the near future and when you look at the code that failed, you'll have no idea what you are looking at. Using #openclaw within a #docker container on Hostinger is absolutely one of the most confusing setups I have ever done. When you are on the vps, one has absolutely no idea what config files you need to change on the history that the openclaw docker container will mount to......for Pete's sake....can someone make this stuff easier?

Anyone who can install and actually run #Openclaw is a genius! Honestly, I have been trying to configure a one-click version on #Hostinger for a day to no avail. Heck I can't even get #Whatsapp or #Telegram connected #AI ain't replacing anyone anytime soon

Ok I hear all this, but all these vibe coders you hear about and CNBC commentators writing apps.....just no way.... The barrier to entry is way too high and honestly when I ask around to see if people are using Generative AI outside of chat, they all say no. And any chatbots at large websites are always weak and unusable. Just seems like scaling outside professional use is non-existent.

The news is so hard to watch. The #StockMarket just goes up and down on daily rumors. How does one even attempt to buy or sell? My goodness.... You can't change jobs in this country, you can't buy a house, you can't buy a gallon of gas..... And now you can't buy stocks.

$USO in a weird spot. I don't know if we've ever seen or are going to see an energy disruption like this in our lifetime. Remember, the #oil #embargo that caused the shortages of 73 were mostly caused by price controls. In the #USA we won't have shortages but we will have to pay for that privilege. #oil is priced globally and we are now competing with every other buyer for 20% less energy on the world markets. If energy infrastructure in the Middle East that is not affected by the straits is destroyed, it can get even worse. Plan accordingly....

#AI is so powerful that finding an employer might be more challenging than ever if you are unemployed. Companies continue to look for lean paths of operation. Soooooo....... Use AI to get customers instead of employment! Go all in. Let it create your company, your LLC, Create a marketing campaign, etc. You are responsible for the creative part! Iran has successfully broken through Qatari air defenses for the second day in a row, this time striking the globally significant Ras Laffan energy complex. The strikes come after Iran’s own natural gas processing plants along the shared North Dome/South Pars condensate field were hit by Israeli air strikes (and with US approval). We’re still waiting on detailed assessments, but the Doha is describing the damage as “extensive.” Ras Laffan supplies 20% of global LNG needs—and nearly a quarter of Chinese consumption alone. From an American perspective, the U.S. has been investing heavily in natural gas and has export capacity to spare in the next few years.
