The first time that my work ever appeared in a print article was in May 1992. This single article set the stage for what was to come, and what brought me to this very moment in time. Indie for life. Literally.

55 years ago, the Apollo 15 spacecraft was on the move. The 363-foot-tall vehicle left the Vehicle Assembly Building on May 11, 1971, for its slow 8-hour trip to Pad 39A at @NASAKennedy. Apollo 15, the fourth Apollo lunar landing mission, was scheduled to lift off on July 26.

The stigma of crypto anything still lingers because bad actors in the sector ruined its rep. Moving to Web3 payments is likely to end up being just another payment rail abstracted by banks & payment processors already planning for it. That's not going to do much by way of fees.

Last year mobile games leaked ~$68 million *every day* in store fees. And you still think studios won’t move to web3 payments once the CLARITY Act is in?

The "Web3 gaming is dead" post-mortems by all the morons who were key to its decline will never not be funny. The same people who came for the yield, not the fun. And most of them helped shape & promote the play book that was adopted. Miss me with that shit. 🤬

@robertrioux I don't know who you are, and I don't know what you want. But that you're standing up for yourself amid a gaggle of cacophonous goons means that you deserve the follow. Well done, sir. 💪

I gave the Blender community more than 45 addons, all created by ChatGPT at the beginning but now by Claude. I never hid that fact. When I develop one, it's to fill a gap that Blender has. Now, with that whole Ai crap happening in the Blender world, some people want to boycott my addons. Go for it. See if I care. It's not like I'm going to lose money. They're all free! Your loss. Now go on my YT page and read the comments of the thousands of people who thanked me because they really appreciate them. Now consider that only about 1-3% will actually comment or "like" even if they really enjoy it. Some of my extensions are very simple, like the Object Display, all the way to the hyper complex Render Manager or light editor. Now, I mentioned that my addons are coded by AI because I'm not a developer and at 56 I'm certainly not going to become one. I'm also not going to hire a developper to make my free addons. You could sell them! No, that's my contribution to the community. That being said, are you going to ask all the addon developper if they used AI so you can boycott them? If you badly need the addon, are you going to then program it yourself? By the way? What is YOUR contribution to the community? How much have you donated? I'm sure some of you did but 99% will just enjoy that wonderful FREE software. #b3d

@whatslukedoing What makes you think they actually "want" Web3 gaming? How about just the usual speculation and gambling wrapped up like a game? That's basically it. No need to overthink it.

Amid yet another obituary to Web3 games following the latest collapse of a $55M game, I feel the need to trot out this missive from my Sept exchange with @graildoteth Games fail all the time - with very few exceptions. It's not just a Web3 thing. It's metrics. Web3 just amplified it. x.com/dsmart/status/…

@SpikeCollects "what does the blockchain make better?" Literally nothing. I've been yelling at the rooftops about this forever and a day. It's just tech. No different from audio, video, networking etc. Except, it's been misused. It's good for 1) asset ownership 2) payment rails.

Thousands the web3 layer of Wildcard just announced their shutdown. And I think there’s a bigger lesson here for web3 gaming. Web3 didn’t kill Wildcard. But it made the hard part harder. Wildcard has real gameplay. Real players. Real community energy. WPL/Thousands had ambition too. But “adding web3” is not enough. The blockchain has to make the game more fun, more social, more rewarding, or more meaningful. If it doesn’t, it becomes friction. Not utility. Respect to everyone who built, played, competed, and actually tried. But every web3 game needs to answer one brutal question: what does the blockchain make better?

Over the past few years, I’ve woken up to random @CoinDesk articles shitting on our industry, and specifically NFTs. That alone wouldn't bother me. Criticism is healthy. The press should hold this space accountable. But while Coindesk takes $ 300k+ to write glowing “research” around companies in crypto, they also write ragebait headlines that shit on the same industry. Pretty annoying to see. It’s bad journalism to ask for $ 300k+ for an article, and if we don’t pay, you write negatively about us. There are so many other news outlets actually trying to make it by covering bright stories in our industry. There are so many other twitter spaces and communities that show up daily to move the space forward. But what Coindesk is doing can’t be a sustainable model. So a few weeks ago I opened up a short position on Coindesk’s parent company, Bullish. This isn’t about money, it’s about principle. The principle: you can’t hurt our community for your corporate gain. Why can a business shit on an industry it participates in and still aim to profit within it? Well, it can’t. That was my bet anyway. I’ve now closed the short up $5,387.46. To be clear: the position is closed. Nothing I write here profits me from a trading standpoint. The trade is over. What's left is the principle. I will use the money to take Bored Apes out to dinners, or Laker Games, or whatever the fuck I want - and every time I do, I will post an entire article about how I got the money (shorting Coindesk) and why I think Coindesk’s current approach is bad for our industry. Congrats Coindesk, you’re now at war with a fucking psycho. I will relentlessly bearpost this behavior until a representative reaches out to me and assures me that they’re going to knock this shit off.

This technique is well known: 1) create an account 2) set the profile to private with hidden posts 3) write posts with names or events (e.g. the date of the Pope's death) 4) if the event happens, you delete everything else and leave only the matching one 5) make the profile public 6) the profile goes viral and gains followers How many posts does the user have? Just one: the one with the name. #ColeAllen #Trump

Yeah, and every product ever made with every iteration of the tech has thus far failed. Not sure how much of it is going to be retained in Otherside, but I am 99% certain Yuga will have to rip it out if they want Otherside to succeed beyond an MVP tech demo. I recall writing tomes about this on the DAO forums. Now I am just waiting for the end result.

I’ve never spoken about @nikitabier until today. I always avoided him as I saw how he targets people. This will be my last post for a while. I live in the West. I’m a student in school. My family was killed by israel in Palestine. I use X to post breaking news and report as accurately as I can by reposting and sharing what I find. Today, I’ve been punished twice for this. My payouts were reduced 80% despite me spending many hours on the app. And then I was demonetized at the special request of extremist Zionist notorious for lying and doxxing @eyakoby. There’s a coordinated attack on free speech happening at the hands of @nikitabier on X. It must stop today. I don’t know what I need to do. But all I ask you to do is read. Read what I’m about to tell you because I may get banned after making a post like this. I am just a student trying to honor my family’s memory by sharing the truth of what is happening in Palestine. I don’t create most of the videos or the photos, I find them from journalists on the ground, from verified accounts, from people living through the horror, and I repost them with context so the world cannot look away. That’s it. No original reporting team, no studio, just me in my room between classes, scrolling, verifying what I can, and hitting share as fast as I can so the news doesn’t die in the algorithm. For months I watched my impressions stay high because people actually want to know what is happening. Families like mine are still losing everything while the world scrolls past. Then suddenly, without warning, the money I used to pay for school, rent, and basic survival gets slashed 80%. The explanation? “Aggregator accounts.” As if sharing accurate breaking news from multiple sources is spam. As if the only “real” content is original opinion pieces written from safety. Meanwhile, accounts that flood the timeline with pro-Israel propaganda, unverified claims, or outright doxxing stay untouched. @EYakoby openly brags and tags staff when he wants someone silenced. One tweet from him questioning why my account is still monetized, and boom — demonetized. Coincidence? Or the kind of “special request” that @nikitabier’s team acts on while the rest of us get told “rules are rules”? This isn’t about me. I’m one small account with 166k followers who never asked for fame, just a platform to speak for the dead. This is about every Palestinian voice, every student, every journalist on the ground being throttled the moment they become too loud. Free speech is meaningless if the algorithm and the payout system are weaponized to starve the people telling the uncomfortable truth. I have receipts. Screenshots of my analytics before and after the cut. Timestamps of @EYakoby’s posts. The exact moment my monetization disappeared. I will post them in the replies because transparency is the only defense we have left. To @nikitabier: If this is really about fighting spam, then apply it evenly. Stop letting one side’s complaints become instant policy while the other side bleeds out financially. To @elonmusk: You bought this platform promising maximum truth-seeking and free speech. Your Head of Product cannot be allowed to turn it into a tool for one narrative. Fix this before more voices are erased. To everyone reading: If you believe in free speech, don’t let this become normal. Repost this thread. Share the Palestine coverage anyway. The more they throttle us, the louder we must get. My family did not die so the world could forget. I will keep posting even if the money stops, even if the reach drops to zero. This is bigger than payouts. This is about whether X still stands for open discourse or has quietly picked a side. I’m still here. For now. Share this.
