Excited to announce Lilac's Gen 5 technology for lithium extraction and share our new technical white paper. This is a major step forward in performance and cost, creating an opportunity for lithium project developers to rethink the technology landscape. lilacsolutions.com/news/lilac-unv…

Super impressed by Lilac's field operations team which achieved production of lithium on spec in just one month of wet commissioning at a remote project site in the high desert. True dedication and passion for the mission. Cheers to our partners and friends @lake_resources!

Lilac's plant at Kachi is now producing lithium chloride on spec with 80% lithium recovery. Cheers to our partners @lake_resources and our on-site operations team who worked 24/7 to hit this milestone just one month into wet commissioning. 🦩🦩🦩

Grateful for the support and warm welcome in Nevada from US Senators @SenJackyRosen and @SenCortezMasto as @Lilac_Solutions ramps up hiring and investment. We’re building a new US lithium supply chain in Nevada that is environmentally friendly and scalable. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Senator Jacky Rosen@SenJackyRosen

I’m proud to join @SenCortezMasto in applauding this investment from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law coming to Nevada to expand domestic manufacturing of batteries for electric vehicles and the electrical grid. Congrats @abt_company and @Lilac_Solutions!

EV battery makers are successfully replacing cobalt and nickel with iron in many applications. This is unlocking growth and concentrating market forces on lithium. Some metals come and go, others reign supreme for decades or centuries, e.g. copper, iron, silicon, etc.
Colin Mckerracher@colinmckerrache

LFP chemistries have taken a larger and larger share of the market. BNEF expects batteries with cobalt to account for only 60% of the EV market this year. That’s down from nearly 90% a few years ago, with further to fall.

Another example of supply chain and permitting controlling the destiny of new energy tech. Refining this uranium in US would not be too challenging from a tech standpoint, but people understandably don’t want these refineries built near them. Even a pilot could take >10 years.

TerraPower notches a record-setting investment round led by South Korea’s SK. But it has no supplier of the enriched fuel it needs, now that sourcing from Russia is off the table bit.ly/3T2knwb
