My woman said; ‘Men are privileged. They don’t have to sacrifice.’ I said nothing. Just asked her to look at the Titanic numbers. 73% of women survived. Only 19% of men did. She tried to counter it. Then I told her something she wasn’t ready to hear…

Has never participated in any international chess tournament. Has never been a grandmaster. Has never produced a student that competed at global level. Is not in the list of 100 best chess players in Africa. Is not in the list of 1000 best chess players in the world. Just a few wins against homeless kids in the outskirts of Lagos and well starched kaftan.

@jon_d_doe Then, the power that be, would create a strong propaganda against you, make you the villain, and give the whole world reasons to want you dead, before they launch their assassination attack...

If I am Peter Obi and I become president. I would be extremely vindictive. I would jail many politicians. Including celebrities. I would use all state apparatus to hunt them down. All illicit monies that they have gotten, I would take everything back and wreck them. End.

went to their office, settled them, renewed my the docs and took my car home. After I got back, I promised myself not to always be an abiding law citizen, not in Nigeria. Just because I wanted to do the right thing, I was penalized for it.

I remembered asking my guy to drive me to the road safety office to renew my expired car documents because I was a little bit ill that and I need the docs to be done asap. We were on the expressway when he sighted VIO officers on the road and alerted me. They were…

In an environment like Nigeria, you won't get anywhere by always following the law/rules. You may even hate yourself for doing that.

We're not going to travel beyond the solar system, according to Leonard Susskind. And neither are aliens, coming to visit us. We may not be alone, but we are stuck here for, essentially forever. 1. The nearest star is 4.24 light years away. The fastest spacecraft ever built would require 6,600 years to get there. 2. Surely we can just build faster spacecraft. The problem is to get to anywhere close to the speed of light, we need exponentially more energy. 3. Chemical rockets will just not work. Even fusion rockets won't work. Even 10% of the speed of light is not achievable. The Tsiolkovsky Rocket Equation prevents it. 4. Interstellar dust becomes hand grenades when traveling anywhere close to the speed of light. Ships break. 5. Space radiation will kill us over the time need to travel interstellar distances. Impossible to protect without massive shields, which require massive energy to accelerate and de-accelerate.
