It is regrettable that even many who share our cause were unable to make a genuine decision and rally in this situation. After the dissolution of the Soviet Union, the world was for some time swept by economic globalization and globalism. At that time, there was an assumption and belief that economic integration could lead nations toward political liberal democracy, but in the end, globalism thoroughly betrayed us.
