Hello, @walletconnect WalletConnect Pay is wanted in Vietnam! I recently visited the Timezone electronic gaming store at Lotte Mart Shopping Center in Can Tho, Vietnam. The store currently uses SmartPay smartPOS machines for payment processing. When asked whether they accept crypto payments, the staff confirmed that they have not yet implemented any cryptocurrency options. The reason is the absence of any legally operating providers that fully comply with Vietnamese state regulations. However, they expressed clear interest in integrating compliant crypto payment solutions in the future, once such regulated providers become available. This would enable them to offer customers a broader range of payment choices. It is encouraging to observe traditional retail merchants remaining open to innovative, compliant payment methods as the regulatory environment evolves. #WalletConnect #CryptoPayments #Vietnam

Thank you for your interest in my country. Vietnam is indeed developing very rapidly, especially in the payment sector, where there are many payment options available. However, cryptocurrency payments are not yet widely accepted. I hope that more providers in this integrated sector will soon be legally operating in Vietnam in the near future.

Hello, @WalletConnect Pay is wanted in VIETNAM 🇻🇳 I stopped by a local pharmacy in Can Tho of VietNam to buy some daily essentials. A female staff member totaled 520,000 VND. I tapped my card on the POS machine payment done instantly. - The pharmacy accepts all major modern payment methods now standard across Vietnam: popular e-wallets like MoMo, ZaloPay, VNPAY, bank transfers, QR scanning, in which they use the POS machine from provider Payoo, one of the major platforms widely used nationwide. - I asked if they would consider accepting compliant crypto payments in the future. She answered honestly: “Not right now, because of current state regulations and the lack of any legal providers. But in the future we really hope for fully compliant crypto solutions, especially if the integration cost is reasonable and easy to implement.” That’s exactly why we need @WalletConnect Pay in Vietnam.🚀
