Investigators say Javeayah had been dead for at least a month before she was reported missing, despite an extensive search involving thousands of acres, hundreds of first responders, volunteers, and countless prayers from people across the country. Authorities also charged Herring with filing a false police report. This case has gone from a desperate search for a missing little girl to a homicide investigation.
