@ShawnClapper So I calculated a limit circle size based on a tolerance factor (p) and went with that limitation (with a p factor of 2 or 3 you can't really notice the overlaps). I'm sure I could've come up with a better way to place those extra points though :> 3/3

@ShawnClapper Extra points seem to be the way to go! My extra points were simpler (just the tips or centres of the extrusions) since I wanted them to work for any polygon. But that implied I would inevitably have some overlaps if my circles were too big while the side length was too small 2/3

Guess I never shared this here, but a couple months ago I had this little #gamedev side project. It's a jigsaw puzzle game, but with oddly shaped pieces and irregular geometric grids. It was fun and challenging to make, but I won't turn it into a full game #GameMakerStudio2

@Yfidalv Thanks! I had a lot more planned, but I couldn't manage to do it in Game Maker and in an optimised way so I got frustrated with the project
