The main stream news is failing to do their job, so here is the bigger picture on this story out of NH. The man pretending to be a woman hanging out in women and children's private spaces is Christopher Beaulieu. He was previously convicted of felonious sexual assault (victim was a minor). So the thing they say never happens is absolutely happening. He also hangs out at Chuck E Cheese in Manchester. Judy Walcott was getting ready to use the bathroom in the women’s locker room at the Concord Planet Fitness when she saw Christopher hanging up belongings outside a shower. Understandably she was very uncomfortable and scared (I know this feeling because men use our restrooms in the State House too), so she went to the front desk and reported it. The employees ignored it. A few days later, she reported it to another employee who called her “transphobic” and told her to quit if she didn’t like it. A few hours later, the assistant manager called her and canceled the membership. They forged her signature on the cancelation too. This smells like a lawsuit waiting to happen. Taxes and regulations. California's state excise tax, sales tax, cap-and-trade, LCFS, and other fees add ~70–90 cents per gallon (highest in the U.S.). The state also requires a unique, more expensive CARB reformulated gasoline blend that costs extra to produce and distribute in an isolated market with limited refineries. Techron (or any brand detergent additive) is a small part of refining/marketing costs and doesn't drive the big gap versus the national average—it's negligible compared to taxes and rules.

This is unconscionable. The Governor of CA, an elected official meant to serve the constituents of this state, both individuals and their companies, is urging us to AVOID a company here. Incredibly unethical and disqualifying. No doubt a spiteful response to @Chevron informing the CA citizens that the reason our gas is always outrageously expensive is because of the CA gas tax. That is a FACT cause by the CA Gov. I will be intentionally buying gas at Chevron this week in LA.
