We are installing the irrigation system for the new integrated crop-livestock project funded by FDACS-OAWP! This will be a large research & demonstration site to collect information for our stakeholders! Excited to see this project coming together!

Today we had a wonderful afternoon with FFA students from Marianna High School learning about winter cropping systems! Big kudos to Tre Easterly, Mark Mauldin, Hardeep Singh, and Liza Garcia for putting this program in place! This is part of our CHEERS project funded by NIFA.

I was glad to see Dylan Pace representing the CHEERS Team today at the Cool-Season Forage Field Day! Dylan is working with Drs. Sadie Hundemer and Marcelo Wallau to survey farmers and ranchers about the adoption of winter cropping systems!

We had a busy (and great) day today! We started harvesting trials at Alliance Dairy and finish with the Cool-Season Forage Field Day! It was great to see the contrasting responses of different forages to the severe cold snap that we had in January this year! Well done!
